The Helle Taiga has connections from the traditions of the Russian Taiga to the fjords of Norway in a unique and functional design collaboration.
The original influenced came to life during a meeting with a true wilderness man and it started the same way we often meet over a discussion about knives and uses. The result later became the Taiga and a knife that has roots and influences from a true outdoorsman with Taiga as his backyard.
The Taiga is a fairly big knife and still with a stick tang construction. A knife to be used for tasks around the camp and in often in cold climate. Great to use even when wearing gloves. The shape of the handle is influenced by boot knives with a mushroom shaped end for easy retrieval form its sheath. Especially important when it is really cold. The birch handle has been hand sanded to a satin finish and works really well with all hand sizes.
The knife comes with a Triple laminated stainless-steel blade that has been hand sharpened.
The sheath is a classic Nordic style sheath made of high quality leather.
